If you are having issues with calibrating your patients there are a few different things that could be causing an error.
- Be sure to verify that the cameras are identifying all markers before performing a patient calibration by using the Snap feature.
- There should be 18 markers for running and 21 for walking
- Make sure there are no additional "markers" being detected. The slightest amount of reflective material on the runner or in the environment will impact the patient calibration.
-
Verify the marker placement on the patient
- Use the Marker Placement article to verify marker placement
- Check that the markers on the thigh and the knee are at least 4 inches apart
- Check that the markers on the calf and the knee are at least 4 inches apart
- Check that the pelvic markers are not too close together
- Check the position of the patient during the patient calibration operation
- The patient should be standing straight up in a neutral position with their arms crossed across their chest
- Reiterate to the patient that they should be standing still. Movement during calibration could cause there to be an error in patient calibration
- Verify the function of the cameras
- Check that you can see the live feed for all cameras, and that the camera alignment is appropriate
